Chua Chee Yong, Director (SHAPE),
Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS)
Mr Chua helms the SHAPE Group at IHiS covering Strategy, HITMAP, Alliance, Planning and Exploration. He shapes the Singapore Healthcare ecosystem through focused strategy, driving the Health IT Masterplan (HITMAP) to guide MOH on the IT portfolio investment, forming alliance with industry to drive innovation and leading the planning effort on selected strategic initiatives to support Singapore’s Health Care vision of ‘Better Health, Better Care and Better Life’. Mr Chua also oversees and manages engagement with ministries, research institutions and industry partners, both locally and globally, to facilitate opportunities for collaboration and explore emerging technologies for the healthcare ecosystem.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Chua was a Managing Director for a global IT consulting firm, Accenture. He also held several leadership positions in various industries, dealing with clients in the Asia Pacific region. He has led many large-scale IT consulting and implementation projects, assisting government agencies and regional Multinational Corporations (MNCs) on their IT Strategy and in streamlining their IT systems.
