2020 Smart Cities Virtual Market Entry Programme (CLOSED)
Overview of Smart City Landscape in Singapore
Consistently ranked top in international technology and ease of doing business, Singapore has developed from a third world nation with inadequate infrastructure and limited capital, to Asia's most future-ready and innovative hub for businesses. By staying at the forefront of the urban environment, business climate, technology, and smart innovation, Singapore aims to remain as a competitive leader and improve the lives of its citizens.
With the Smart Nation initiative launched in 2014, Singapore prioritise technological transformation to address national challenges in key areas such as Health, Transport, Urban solutions, Finance, and Education.
This year, the Nordic Innovation House Singapore (NIH-SG) theme on SMART CITIES aims to support and provide Nordic companies an opportunity to expand their foothold in Singapore and Southeast Asia. NIH-SG shares the mission to bridge Smart Cities-related delegations with its core Trade Promotion Offices (TPOs) from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland.
