About the speakers:
Thomas Hanson is the Diplomat in Residence, University of Minnesota Duluth, Chair of Committee of Foreign Relations Minnesota, and Board Member at Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights – US Foundation.

Jarno M. Koponen leads teams and builds products that combine media content, artificial intelligence and user experience design. Over the last 10 years he has focused on creating innovative personalized media experiences such as an award-winning edugame Troll Factory, an AI-powered smart news assistant Voitto and a pioneering predictive discovery engine Random/Futureful.

His work has been covered by The New York Times, Fast Company, Vice, Oxford Reuters Institute, NPR, Ars Technica and MIT Technology Review among others. He has written renowned articles about media, artificial intelligence and product design on VentureBeat and TechCrunch.
