Following the successes of the past two Sustainability Open Innovation Challenges (SOICs), Enterprise Singapore (ESG) is once again collaborating with key industry partners to launch its third edition with challenge statements in major sustainability areas. This year’s edition of the SOIC consists of 2 separate rounds, each with different challenge owners and challenge statements. Although participation for round 1 is now closed, ESG and partners are inviting startups to join round 2 of the innovation challenge.
With ever-increasing global average temperatures, diminishing natural resources, growing waste, and rising greenhouse gas emissions, there is an urgent need to develop and implement sustainable solutions to restore and protect our environment.
As the recovery of our ecosystems is both a complex and multi-faceted challenge, collaboration is key to innovating towards a more sustainable future. Round 2 of this year’s edition is bringing onboard new partners such as Sentosa Development Corporation, L’Oréal, JBM Group, P&G, Volkswagen, Lagardère, dnata, Grab, Wee Hur Holdings and LHN Energy Resources.
We are looking for startups that can provide solutions for the following areas:

Sustainable materials/packaging
Waste management
Zero-Waste supply chain
LOW CARBON ECONOMYLow carbon alternatives
